Hubble Bubble

Picture
I have always been fascinated by the idea of making my own healing and cosmetic products and when Nerys asked me to move to Rivendell Farm in the eighties, it began a learning process that has continued since. Originally, I was the 'house ma' and coordinated the cooking and cleaning for the small community, helping in the garden and the herb nursery.  I also helped bottling and labelling the natural products that made up the Rivendell Skin care range. I eventually worked in all aspects of the business including demonstrating and production.
The processes involved require no more skills than cooking and most of the equipment can be found in any kitchen. It is not difficult to produce safe natural creams, lotions and ointments tailor made for your family.

In 1996, Nerys left on another road adventure in her beloved 'Charlie' and we converted the tiny back porch into a laboratory with the idea of supplying her with products to sell. I could produce upwards of a hundred jars a day in this tiny space. The laundry room doubled as a storage space.
